Fifteen Pitch Questions.

1. We are going to make a 2-3 minute introduction to a horror film of our chosen genre, we chose to do a psychological horror, this idea came from the horror film 'Halloween'. We liked the camera shots of this mystery person peering into a window which is a similar idea what we want to do. We are going to be working with a group of around 4 girl actors.

2. To show that our film will be instantly recognized as a horror through the music, we don't want to have much music because from watch the horror film 'The Strangers' we felt that silence works well for a horror film as it builds tension. So our music is going to be quiet and the notes of the instrument will be pre-longed to create more atmosphere and ambience.

3. We believe our piece will challenge the forms of a traditional horror film because we don't want to have a slow start that gives the audience the story before the action takes place, we want to hit straight in with the haunting and the psychological parts of it. We also feel that having the use of silence isn't the most traditional thing in horror's as there is usually always music underneath quietly.

4. The scene is going to begin with a stalking of a girl, but as the camera angle moves there isn't actually anyone there which makes the audience question if there is someone there or if it is in the head, then it is going to cut to the lounge scene with a similar sort of idea with the camera angles.

5. The supernatural aspect is going to be that there isn't actually going to be anyone being shown in the first part of the horror which is all we need to do so it leaves the audience hanging on who it is that is following the group of girls.

6. The 'monster' is going to be shown by the camera as a point of view shot, so the camera won't be on a tripod as we want to give it the shaky effect.

7. The victims are going to be introduced through a gathering type scene in one of the friends living room, they are going to be teenagers around the age of 18, drinking and dancing to music on a Friday night. The other character who hasn't arrived yet is going to be introduced as she walks up the road to the gathering.

8. Our media product will represent 16-18 year old girls as quite happy characters that just want to have fun and just enjoy each others company.

9. Our opening will grab our audience because we are hoping to with the help of our camera entice our audience making them want to know who it is that is stalking the girls and why, and how many of them there is.

10. Our sequence will end on the girls suspecting someone is outside however it will reveal that there isn't anybody there at the moment, so it will leave the audience wanting to know what is going to happen next.

11. We have been influenced by the horror film 'Halloween' because it has a similar style opening to the way we want our horror film to begin. An example of this is shown below in a separate post.

12. Our target audience is male and female teenagers, aged 15 and above, more detail of this shown in a separate post in the blog.

13. The actors in the sequence, the storyline, and the different type of shots will all help to attract the audience. Also as our actors are teenagers, it will attract the teenage population as they can relate to them.

14. Our audience certificate is 15 because we don't want it to be too violent, and it's that age that tend to want to begin to watch horror films. I think this film will relate to boys more because all horror films do, however we feel that it can relate to girls to as we have a girl cast.

15. This final slide show is going to show the outline to our horror film, showing its location, set, characters and the plot.
