Titles Evaluation - Halloween

Halloween.
The titles above are from the horror film 'Halloween'. In the first part of the film the titles above are shown: The Lead Characters, Director of Photography, Associate Producer, Production Manager, Producer & Executive Producer and the Director. The pumpkin begins further away and slowly gets closer which does start to build tension for an audience member making them want to know when its going to start and when it does will it shock, this is helped along with the slow music that makes the mood more creepy. The opening credits relate to the rest of the film because it shows that it is about Halloween as people associate pumpkins with this. The font color matches the pumpkin and orange is also a color that people associate with Halloween so it adds to the overall feeling of the horror film.

Buried.

The titles above are from the horror film 'Buried'. The introduction shows us that it is a 'versus entertainment production', it also names us the: sound mixer, make-up artist, costume designer, art directors, visual effects, sound designer, re-recording mixer, post production supervisor, line producer, editor, music co-ordinator, director of photography, executive producer, producers and director. The black background work with the film because it is about a guy who is buried alive, its very dark in the coffin. The titles associate with the film's plot because the lines go down as if it was travelling underground.

The Walking Dead.

The titles above are from the horror film 'The Walking Dead'. In the first part of the film the titles above are shown: The production designer, producer, casting director, editor, director of photography, executive producers, writer and director. The titles take us through a series of comic drawings in which this programme is based on, it uses contrasting colours for the font so it can be seen, but the colours also work with the scene, if there are dashes of orange in the background the font would be a visible orange colour. The splatters of blood and dark colours set the mood for the rest of the programme along with the images that are negative and shocking as they show things that aren't normal.
