Horror Film - Initial Ideas.

For our Horror introduction film, we want to do a pyschological genre:

We want to have a group of friends having a little party in their lounge at Christmas, and we want it to begin with cutting from shots of the girls dancing and being drunk to a shot from the window that is unsteady of someone looking in. We also want to show, to fill the three minutes more (as we don't want to fall into the trap of creating a short film) a girl turning up to the party, walking up the road and the camera will follow her as if she is being followed however we quite like the idea of cutting to in front of the girl to reveal no-one behind her which gives the illusion of it all being in the audiences head - a feature of psychological horror films.

These shot types and ideas have been inspired from Halloween 2 (1978):

Our target audience for our film is a 15 certificate, it is suitable for both male and female however it might apply to the male population more as it a well known statistic that females don't enjoy horror films as much as males. We want out titles to appear over the action, as titles that come up before a film we found from the textual analysis can be quite boring for an audience and can make them switch off. We want the titles to come up in the bottom part of the screen in a corner so it doesn't interfere with any action going on. As the beginning of our film is set at night, it will have quite dark tones in the mise-en-scene so we will use a contrasting white or light grey color for our font. We went on www.dafont.com and got some ideas of the type of font we want to use, here is what we came up with:
